I’m starting a t-shirt store for 2024.
I should have kept going down this road. I used to offer merch of my images in online stores as far back as 1999, but it’s easy to lose your way. People do like merch. I often buy t-shirts offered by the YouTubers I watch, or other artists. Dye sublimation on clothing just gets better and better. It was a mistake to not offer t-shirts of the various album covers I’ve produced over the years, but that will change soon.
Pandora Radio recently changed some things regarding artist profiles. I’m now able to do “Spotlight Picks”, which are playlists, songs, albums, or podcasts I wanted to feature for 180 days, as well as supply an About/Bio (currently pending approval). Here’s a link to the Mark Rushton profile page on Pandora.
I like Pandora. Their “AMP” service for recording artists is excellent. It’s not as slick as Spotify for Artists, but learning how to use Pandora AMP’s various Campaigns and Programs and figuring out how to qualify Featured Tracks has value for me. AMP even have an “office hours” live webinar with Q&A every month for beginning and experienced AMP users. Great bunch of people. They really care.
Only one video livestream this past week. There was a second, but I deleted it due to technical problems. I got the worst of the technical noises removed and managed to run my new Buddha Machine through processing for 25 minutes. This is a “set it and forget it” type of livestream.
Listening to it afterwards, especially on my excellent Grado headphones, it has a lovely, hypnotic quality. Yeah, 25 minutes is a bit long, but it’s there if you need it.
The Wells Fargo settlement story:
If I make you some money with this post, thank me later. And pass along my good tidings to others.
If you've ever had a Wells Fargo bank account in the past, they have been sending out letters in the past few months regarding a settlement offer for doing naughty things like putting "credit life" and "AD&D" on accounts without authorization over the past 20 years. The letters have a phone number (1-877-642-7826) and reference code.
What if you've moved, closed the account, and stopped having mail forwarded? You're likely in their database. Just call the number, tell them your name, give them your previous address, last four of your SSN, say you didn't authorize any add-ons, and maybe there's money waiting for you. Make sure they have your updated address to send the check(s).
What about the deceased? The phone reps don't know if the person is deceased, so don't make it complicated. If you know the last four of the deceased individual's SSN and the previous address, there might be money.
How much money? Trust me, it's worth your time. My 90 year old mother got a letter in November and received her first check just before Christmas. Then she got five more letters in the past two weeks. It's substantial. Shocking. We were laughing. She was thrilled. My younger sister did equally as well. My older sister did pretty good, too, for a 10 minute phone call - she had thrown away her letters and thought it was a phishing scam, but I gave her the number and encouraged her to call.
I don't have a WF account, so I'm not in the running. I'm just happy to help out my mom and then see if it's repeatable with others. If you get any money, or you hear of any friends-of-friends or relatives getting money, send me a message or email.
