Future Artworks
I’ve been wondering where to go with my art in 2026.
I have enjoyed making the inked, thermal-printed photos in recent years. You can’t go wrong with a figure in a landscape that has color and texture. I’d like to do more collage, and I will once the acrylic gel medium arrives. Maybe a combination of it all.
Fairfield Porter had it right by using family and friends. I hope you don’t mind.
And not for sale. I like making artworks for album covers, book covers, and my own personal spaces. As gifts. Or to give away to strangers.
Nikoleta Sekulovic on painting ‘Beatrice’
I happened across Nikoleta Sekulovic recently - particularly her recent large paintings of literary figures or subjects in a kind of “William Morris” background.
What’s not to love here? She tells a great story of the painting’s creation in under four minutes.
24 Time Pieces
The soundtrack is done. All 24 pieces completed, titled, and sequenced. Now I must listen to them for a while and, at some point, release it on Bandcamp and distribute it to streaming. And get the FM station and software up and running to broadcast in the vicinity of the Fitch Building.
Each “time piece” is three minutes. Somehow I made all the different musical styles have a thread running through them. It flows beautifully and you don’t need to be standing in front of the LED installation to appreciate the music.
The Abundant Spare Time Book
I received a copy of my Abundant Spare Time book and have thumbed through it.
Wow, I wrote a book!
It’s a little different looking at my Posts on paper, but you can open it to any page and start reading. That’s how I was looking at it.
It’s available as a paperback on Amazon. And an eBook, with or without Kindle Unlimited.
Galina Juritz - “Come Back”
She’s back! I love her weird jazzy/electronic album “One Weird Trick”.
All electronic/distorted in the first half. Orchestral in the second half!
